Compound reports are designed to show item movement for a given period of time. These reports show what is currently on order (purchase order quantities), on hand (current inventory quantity). The reports also show what has been received and sold over a given period of time. Compound reports will give you a good analysis of inventory flow and can help with reordering.

•Compound - Sold by Item : This report displays the quantity of items sold in each month and the current On Hand. If the Date Range selected is larger than 365 days, the overlapping months from different years will be tallied in the same column.

•Compound by Category. Category reports summarize information by the particular category chosen for the include/sort order (vendor, department, class, etc.).

•Available Daily Supply : This report displays the number of days, on average, that the items would last in inventory before needing to be reordered. Extending the date range to a large number of days where the items have not sold can generate odd results due to averages. 7 days or 30 days is recommended.
