    Printing problems

by Little Mountain » Thu Aug 02, 2007 9:30 am

When we print our invoices, we're getting multiple invoices on top of each other. We've printed documents from other programs and they work fine, but we've run into problems with our invoices.

    anyone else have this problem?

Does this happen with all RetailEdge reports or just the Invoice? For example, what happens when you print a simple Department List? Also, does the Invoice display properly in the previewer before printing?

Not knowing the answers to the above questions, the first thing I'd look for is to make sure you have the correct printer selected in the Workstation Options form. You should check both the receipt printer (Receipt Printer tab) and the report printer (Reports tab).

If you are still having trouble with this, you should contact technical support. They can if reached at [email protected].

I believe that it's just with the invoices. I'll ask the lady who printed them if she changed printers or not, but to my best knowledge it wasn't changed.

It's a reoccurring problem when we try to print monthly statements. Rather then printing all 100+ on fine, we'd like to use "fastest" to save time & ink...

When we do so, we get them all messed up. I can mail you a copy of one to see for yourself.

I am a little confused. If you print the statements to the RetailEdge previewer, do they appear correctly? If they do it might be a printer issue.

If you want to send us a copy of your statements that did not print correctly feel free and we would be happy to look at them for you.

We've used different printers. The problem falls when we try to select "fast" print style. I'll scan it and email or post the picture.

When it's on "fine" it's fine. But when we run our reports we don't need it to be on fine. This is printing from our laptop, not our main machine.

our laptop is only used to print end of month statements.

You did not answer Bill's question. Does this report display properly with the RetailEdge report previewer?

If the report preview is OK, then the issue is likely a problem with your printer driver or the OS.

Another way to approach this would be to export the report to a PDF file, assuming it displays correctly. Then use Adobe's PDF application to display and print the report.
