If I use the PICS to bring in an order there is no way to update the price, so I have to go into inventory manager and use edit the price that way, which just means I might as well edit quantity while I'm there rather then doing something twice.

Am I missing something or is there no way to do so? This would save a lot of time and hassle.

There is no way to edit pricing from PICs. It is a good suggestion but would require a data change to do it, so probably won't be able to do it in the current version.

However, your question does beg the question what are you doing with PICS. It sounds like you are updating inventory from the PICs file. If this is the case you should probably not be doing this to receive orders. You should be receiving from PICs and adding items to receiving, then updating your inventory from receiving. Updating inventory from receiving does two things:

1. It keeps a record of what you received when from what vendor.
2. It adjusts the average cost of the inventory items being received. Average cost is used for calculating the cost of your inventory and cost of goods sold.

So if you are having to do a lot of changing of inventory costs (which I am assuming is requiring the change of your inventory price), then this step sounds pretty critical for you.

You might want to consider creating POs. This way you will be creating inventory pricing in advance of receipt. This takes a little more time up front, but will save it on the back end during receiving. You can use PICs to receive off of a PO. So the pricing would be brought off of the PO when you updated your recieving from PICs.
