Mass Edit Product

Is there a way to change the vendor for a bunch of products all at once?
One of our vendors changed names, and I'd like to convert all the products from their old name over to the new name, however there are a few hundred to a thousand in the system.

Any way other then the manual way of changing each one, one at a time?

If the vendor simply changed names, you should be able to edit the vendor record and change the Vendor Name. This will automatically show up in the inventory items.

Also, with the latest release of RetailEdge, version 8.0.14, there is a new utility that allows you to change all instances of one vendor to another vendor. Same with departments and classes.

Ok, I see what you're saying.
Someone created a new vendor ID for the new name, and the old name. Looks like I'll have to go the long/hard way.

If you have "two" vendors, you can use the global change utility to change all instances of the old/bad vendor to the new/good vendor. You shouldn't have to manually edit each inventory record.

From the RetailEdge Main menu, go to Tools / Global Change / Inventory / Vendor and follow the directions.

Nothing for vendor

You're a couple of releases out of date. The current version is 8.0.15. You can download this version by going to Help / Program Updates.

As mentioned earlier, as of 8.0.14, RetailEdge has new Global Change options in the Tools menu.

Thanks. I updated last night, changed it over in one quick step.
Hopefully a few more of my requests will be as easy as that soon in the future.
