Has any one used the Verifone Everest Plus pin pad/card reader with Retail Edge? I checked with PCCharge and it is supported by them. Looking at the best way to process debit cards.

RetailEdge will support the Verifone 1000SE PINPad for processing PIN Debit cards. RetailEdge does not support the Everest Plus. One reason that not done anything with devices like this is that they are constantly changing. Verifone is moving away from many of their older devices to newer ones with RFID and are switching the programming language for many of these devices. They currently are not recommending that we even attempt to talk to their older devices. So we are in a kind of programming wait and see mode on these types of devices.

We also might do something with signature capture to allow the retailer to have an electronic signature on file and minimize paper usage. So would like to have one device that would do it all. However, we have not found the best device to use here.
