We just downloaded the new 8.08 update, and found the new credit card recipts. This would be nice and save paper, except we need to know what type card was used on the sales, as MC/Visa is processed seperatley as is Discover and American Express. Would it be possible to add this information to the credit card portion of the recipt? Otherwise we will have to continue printing two complete copies of the recipt, which will use more paper.

We'll look into this - shouldn't be too hard.

Out of curiosity, we'd like to know why this is an issue. Is it a reconciliation thing at the end of the day? If so, there might be a report that would help you, perhaps the Detailed Payment Method Report.

It just makes reconciling the charge card tickets easier. Especially when we have off the system charges. The PC Charge reports lumps all the cards togher, and while we could take the time to see which were each type it is easier to total them up on the adding machine and compare the totals. In the mean time we are writing the card type on each ticket. It works, just a step backwards for us.

We've reposted the 8.0.8 with a couple of minor fixes (as of Wednesday). Please re-download (manually from the menu bar) and see if the new addition works for you.

That helped me, Thanks. I have had a couple of my employees request that the last four numbers of the credit card be printed on the main receipt, so they don't have to look up the original ticket when doing a return, not a big deal, and they have said it would be nice if the credit card portion of the receipt printed first, so that the customer could be signing while the rest of the receipt prints. I guess this is the way it works at many other stores.
