To handle a bottle deposits in RetailEdge, you would:

1. Create an item for the bottle deposit.
2. Add the bottle deposit as an add-on item to the bottle or case, etc.
3. When adding the addon item, check the "Automatically Load AddOn Items in Sales Screen" checkbox.

When you sell the bottle or case etc, the bottle deposit will be added to the sale. If you change the quantity of the item being sold as you sell it, RetailEdge will automatically change the addon quantity. If you have the "consolidate items" checkbox checked on the sales screen, the bottle deposits will be consolidated (grouped) on the sales screen.
