Printing a Batch of Gift Card Labels

Is it possible to print a batch of Gift Card Labels prior to selling the gift cards? I'd like to have some gift cards already made up (labels attached), so that I could just scan them in at the time of sale. 'Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you want to have gift cards already made up, you can do one of two things:

1. Contact a company that manufacturers gift cards. They will have a number either encoded on the magnetic strip or barcode on the back of the cards. You can tell the manufacturer to print the cards with any starting value that you would like and they will keep a record of the series so that when you reorder, you will get the next value in the series.

2. Manually enter a gift card in your system by choosing Issue Gift Card (Manually) from the Customer|Gift Card menu item. Issue a gift card for the amount you want. Then choose to print the labels when you issue the gift card.
