removing locations

Greetings, We are tring to remove a location that is no longer used by us. We have gone to the location list in tools> settings> location. There is a grayed out delet button but we are unable to remove the second location. Any help is welcome. Jeff and Belinda

We don't allow you to delete any locations once they have been created in RetailEdge. However, if you e-mail technical support the can send you an SQL tool that will get rid of all your locations with the exception of your main location or if you send them a backup, they can look at your data and send you an SQL to get rid of whichever location(s) you want.

By "get rid of" what do you mean? Will the sales history for those locations also be deleted?

There is no way to currently remove a location in RetailEdge. This is a pretty invasive procedure that effects reports, sales history and inventory and why this function is disabled. If you want to get rid of all references to the secondary location including sales, etc. we can e-mail you an SQL that will wipe out all locations other than your main one. Just send a request to [email protected].

If you are looking at just wiping out one of many locations, then this will require more time. You should then send a request to [email protected]. You will most likely have to send a backup to them and they will have to charge you for a support call.

Thanks for the sql tool. This took care of our unused 2nd location.
