When adding an existing inventory item through the matrix to a purchase order for a future order (fall 09) that will have a price increase for next season, RE is changing the price (cost) for the existing inventory parent item. This is not correct, as the increase doesn't take affect until the new items are received. If the matrix is next used for an ASAP order, it uses the wrong, higher cost and passes that on to the children. Seems to me to be a big problem, unless i'm missing something here.

We've made a number of changes to how inventory and matrix items work in the next release (which will be version 8.1.3). This release will be posted in 1 to 2 weeks.

Using this release, I tried a test using the scenario you described and the matrix parent cost did not get updated.
