We are adding this new forum section to encourage discussion of credit card security issues. The credit card processing industry, including the PCI Security Standards Council, is starting to require that retailers comply with new security standards. Users of RetailEdge will need to be aware of the new standards and will need information to help them comply with PCI-DSS regulations.

The PCI Security Standards Council has established the PCI-DSS which describes security measures that retailers must take to protect sensitive cardholder information. Here are a couple of links to the PCI Security Standards Council website:

The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations proactively protect customer account data.
