New Features

1. Item Search now has the option to see On Order Quantities. This can be useful when selling items to give users the ability to quickly see if an item is on order. Or if you are adding items to a purchase order to see if there are other similar items already on existing purchase orders (pre-seasons, etc.).

2. Added colors to Sales Manager Sales Colors. Red for returns and cancelled orders/layaways, etc. Magenta for sales with discounted items. This will more closely match the colors that appear when ringing up a sale and allow users to more quickly see sales that have negative totals and have been discounted.

3. When first starting the program, RetailEdge will now ask users which sales screen they would like to use as the default (touch or traditional).

4. Added a refresh button on Purchase Order items tab. Although this screen should automatically refresh, this allows users to force the refresh at a quicker interval to ensure that they have the most recent information.

5. Added multiple purchase orders selection and PO printing from the Purchase Order Manager.

6. Birthday Filter on customer filters will now allow year wrapping. The filter date range will now accept a date ranges of 12/1 - 1/31.

7. Improved speed performance of a number of sales reports.

8. Added additional Sale Type Report Filters for: Open Order Pmt, Cancel Open Order, Issue Gift Card, Void Gift Card, Issue Loyalty Dollars, Void Loyalty Dollars, Issue Store Credit, Void Store Credit.

9. Added Turn Rate Report. Turn Rate is a metric that measures cost of goods sold for the period / Average Inventory for the period. This report can also be used to get a cost of inventory at the beginning of a period. A little different from the sell through report that looks at qty sold/beginning inventory qty.

10. Added filter for Turn and Sell Through report that allows the report to display only items that have been sold for the given period.

11. Added Line and Receipt Message Filters for receipt message report. This will allow users to better use the RetailEdge message functionality. For instance if you are using the open order functionality for work orders on specific items or pieces of equipment, then you can scan or type in the serial number of the item being worked on in the receipt message on a sale. Then you can run a sales report and filter the receipt message for the serial number (or item) and see what work has been done on a particular item.

12. Added Ctrl-T short cut for Tax Exempt sales on the Touch Sales Screen.

Fixes

1. Fixed random printing "Screen printer does not support printing" errors. These errors occurred when Windows printers were not actually available for printing (network off-line, etc.). RetailEdge will now properly trap for these errors.

2. Fixed Access Violation while attempting to delete a clerk.

3. Fixed Access Violation when resorting payment methods.

4. Fixed format of Receipt Message Report for certain sale types.

5. Fixed Compound Received quantities in Receiving by Month Report.

6. Changed message when voiding a Gift Card Manually to make it clearer that the user needs to press enter after entering the GC number in order to have the GC entered into the grid.

7. Fixed ability to change Passwords for locations with long names.

8. Fixed QuickBooks Export when a layaway is canceled and the money is returned to the customer.

9. Searching for an item PO line item will no longer forget the Find "Search Field" for the inventory item after searching on a purchase order.

10. Program Update will now properly make sure that the program is being run as an Administrator in Windows 7.
