We currently process all our cards as credit, as using Retail Edge with PC Charge will not support debit cards. Does any of your processors support using all of the options, Credit Card, Signature Debit, Pin Debit, and off system processing. We have customers that won't do pin debit, but banks offer better rates if you do, we also have some wholesale customers that pay us by credit cards, which we process through PC Charge, but they are not through Retail Edge. Handled separably by bookkeeping.

RetailEdge integrates directly with two processing partners: Payment Processing Inc. (PPI) and Mercury Payment Systems (MPS). With either PPI or MPS, RetailEdge can process credit cards, bank cards processed as credit cards, and debit cards (using a pin pad). Both processors offer great rates and the ability to accept debit cards should you save money in the long run.

Another benefit of working with PPI and MPS is that there is no need for an extra layer of software complexity (i.e. PC Charge). This simplifies support and also means that you will not have annual software and support expenses for the PC Charge software.

For your wholesale customers, you can still process sales outside of RetailEdge. PPI and MPS both offer online applications where you can process sales. You can also check batches and search for transactions.
