RetailEdge 8.2.4 Release Notes

This is a release that adds two new "cloud" features (web and dashboard) and a number of suggestions from customers who attended our User Conference this year.

Added Features

1. Added RetailEdge Dashboards. This will allow remote monitoring of store sales from remote computer (Apple Mac, Windows and/or iPhone pending approval). This feature can be accessed from the Workstation Settings. This feature requires the user to be on a RetailEdge Gold Plan.

2. Added Web Integration with Modern Retail website. This allows automatic timed uploading of inventory and downloading of sales from a Modern Retail Website. This feature can be accessed and modified from the Workstation Settings.

3. Added display of customer e-mail to both sales screens. This allows clerks will be able to tell, at a glance, if the customer has an email address or not.

4. Added Day of Week Discount Filter (e.g., Discount 30% every Wednesday).

5. Added Copy To Shipping Address button to Customer Bill To Tab. This should save a few steps when creating customer records.

6. Added Link to Forums from the RetailEdge Help Menu.

7. Added 15% discount button and removed 60% on Sales Screen discount Form.

8. Added a Find Vendor button to E-mail Report screen. This allows searching the vendor list for easier email entry.

9. Added many new changes to the way scales operate and scale items are loaded into the sales screen.

Fixes

1. Payment Methods Reports, Summary and Detail will now show the proper change if change was given due to overpayment of a credit card payment AND CASH is not used for the payment period.

2. Created better warning message about downloading updates as an administrator (Right click Icon - Run As Administrator) when using Vista or Windows 7.

3. Added Partial Payment button to the Touch Sales Screen to allow users to more easily use customer Store Credits.

4. Added security tag to Reports-Sales-Sales-Closing Messages. This report was inaccessible when security is turned on.

5. Copy Saved Sale from another location will no longer create a key violation due to overlapping Ticket Numbers.

6. Can now cancel an open order with a deposit of $0.00.

7. Add New Location - Fails on Pass 4. (Soft 8.2.3)
