It sure would make re-ordering matrix sized items a lot easier if in the "quantity" tab there was a row below each matrix item that showed on-hand inventory for ea. item.

You do know that you can reorder based on sales data for a given period and also for Mins and Maxes which will take into account what is already on order.

Maybe you can elaborate a bit to let us know how you are doing your reordering and why these other mechanisms don't work for you.

We do use the reorder reports, but that requires a multistep process. It would be fast and efficient, when in the Purchase Order Items screen and when selecting a matrix parent item to add quantity for, to be able to see the on-hand inventory for each size or matrix item, on that same screen - maybe just in a box below each of the boxes for filling in order quantities. That would eliminate alot of the back and forth required now for doing fill in orders. Comprende?

But if you are using the reorder reports, the reports use the same procedure as the Auto PO generator does. So you would be able to do this automatically.

Kind of, but the auto-generate functions (andthe reorder reports) are sometimes nice, but sometimes just don't cut it. For instance, if an item sold 1 day before the date range I chose to run for the report it won't show up. It would just be helpful to see those quantities on-hand at the time of filling in the matrixon the po, to confirm, modify or adjust the order on the fly, so to speak.
