Could we PLEASE get a sales report that summarizes sales by month in spreadsheet format, so that we don't have to run individual reports for each month to get our hands on this data? Normal filters and include/sort info would be fine (in my case i'm mostly interested in summary by dept and class). Months across the columns, selected "included/sort criteria" down the rows would be super. Can't imagine this is a difficult report to design and include?

Dave I will add it to the list of suggestions. A couple of things.

1. This report is not as easy as you would suggest. We essentially have to do the report 12 times and make sure that we take into account all the issues like leap years and rounding into a new year, that makes it essentially difficult for you when you export to Excel and have to summarize. But we do have other reports that will display months across so we probably already can modify what we have without too much trouble.

2. Reports are a big focus of ours for the new year. We have taken the approach in the past that we would create the reports that customers want and "can" them so that you don't have to do the work. However, we are now finding that there are too many variations that people want. So although RetailEdge allows you to sort and filter and group the reports in hundreds of different ways, we are going to be trying to allow more flexibility to allow you to add and change reports in the future (add columns, re-sorts, etc.).
