On the Closing Report, the amount of returns is included in the right hand column. How do I know from the closing report, where the amount of the return appears in the figures on the left hand column? In order to get detailed information about returns, I would run a detailed sales report with the Quantity set to < 0. That will show you the returns.

You can also do the same with a detailed sales tax report. This should give you the numbers you need for the Tax Authorities.

Also remember on the Report Selector form there is a tab to allow you to memorize the reports you run. So if this is a useful report that you might have to run more than once, then memorizing the report can save lots of time.

On a slightly different note, let us know about what if anything we can do about minimizing your on-line returns. We used to get this a lot with our on-line store but then stopped selling (or at least allowing people to purchase) certain items. Credit card magnetic strip reader writers were a huge fraudulent item.
