I am in the process of installing a new accounting system and taking a hard look at a lot of things that we had not given much thought to in a decade or so.

On the Sales Status Report what is the "Non-Sales Adjustment:"?

What is the impact of the "Non-Sales Adjustment:" on the sales data shown on the Sales Summary Report and in turn the Summary Sales Tax Collections Report? I can tell you there is none. The sales data shown on these reports is the sum of "Taxable Sales:' and "Non-Taxable Sales:" Where in the sales report does the "Non-Sales Adjustments" get deducted so I do not include them in the computation of sales. For accounting purposes should I ignore the "Non-Sales Adjustments:" but things would not balance but right now by sales do not balance to RetailEdge.

I am trying the wrap me head around this.

The section you are concerned about are

The closing report (or sales status report) has a line item for Non Sales Adjustments. These are adjustments are for actions that are not a part of the sales process and include: Gift cards manually issued, Gift cards manually voided (with no refund), Loyalty dollars issued, Loyalty dollars voided, Store credits manually issued, Layaways canceled (with no refund), Open Orders canceled (with no refund)
