Having a serious issue with RE 8.2. We're a glassblowing studio, gallery, and supplier.
Our issue comes from our supply department. We have glass rod, frit, and powder that is all sold by weight. RE 8.2 allowed us to transfer all our old inventory from our old install of RE, but RE 8.2 will not let us Receive decimal units of inventory. For example: We have 0.527 kg of sapphire blue frit, and we want to receive another 0.5 kg from our supplier. It won't let us type 0.5 into the inventory receiving window.

At this point we're dead in the water with regards to inventory since receiving only whole number units isn't feasible. We've read the manual. We've searched the help files. We still come up with no solutions.

We would appreciate any help anyone can give us at this point to remedy this situation.

I see you are running Version 8.2.24. In this version you should be able to received partial quantities either by directly adding to the Receiving file or receiving from a purchase order. However, you can't receive partial quantities from the inventory manager by pressing the Copy to Receive button. If this is what you are experiencing then should be able to simply edit your quantities in receiving. If this is not what you are seeing then you might want to consider calling technical support to see what it happening. You can also e-mail them if you would prefer. This will not generate an immediate response but then again it is free.

We have had four new releases since you purchased the program. In one of these updates we have added a new feature to allow you to receive decimal quantities from the Copy to Receive button on the Inventory Manager. We are always making modifications and changes to the program to improve usability and incorporate new features and customer suggestions.
