    Pin Debit on Genius

    Will the Genius terminal support pin debit with Retail Edge? I heard that Merchant Warehouse supports pin debit, but Retail Edge doesn't? Or is this only on the non Genius systems?

    Debit should work fine with the Genius device. This is one of the reasons we wanted to work with the Genius device. Talking to PINPads is problematic but since we are already talking to the Genius device, there is no additional work for RetailEdge to talk to the Device. We are kind of card agnostic. All we need to do is say, here is a sale for $100 Genius. How they process the payments and deal with the different payments is up to the device. This will also be the same when there are new payment methods (Level Up, EMV Chip and PIN, etc.).
