    Sales Manager Date Range

    by chaseleccigs » Thu Apr 17, 2014 12:01 pm

I can't change the date range in the Sales manager. It's Retail Edge version 8.2.29. I definitely have the right administrator permissions to do so but either date is grey. Customer information is stored so there is sales history being stored in some way. Thanks.

    Try a couple of things.

    1. Close all forms and try opening the sales manager from the Tool Bar button. Are you able to change the date?

If not turn off security and see if the same thing happens. If it does not (which I assume it won't) try going to the Action List (from the Location Editor, Security Tab) and Check the security setting on Sales Manager - Allow Date Change from the Register settings. My first guess is that you have this set incorrectly. There are a number of settings for the sales manager that are controlled here. Many people want their clerks to see the sales manager so that they can void sales, reprint receipts etc. However they don't want them to see sales totals, change dates, see other locations, etc.

    2. You might be accessing the Sales Manager from the Customer Manager. If you are doing this then when this screen opens up, it does not allow you to change dates. This is something that we have modified in the current version (8.2.31). We are making changes to the program all the time and you can sign up to receive updates (Our Silver Plan) for only $5/workstation/month and something you might want to consider.

The security settings were what needed to be changed. Thank you for the fix!!
