This update claims to have pre-swipe capabilities for the Genius system, We installed the update, it does not change anything for our Genius.
Most places that have pre-swipe seem to operate the same way, you swipe your card, the terminal then ask credit or debit, you select, it then shows the sales total and ask for you to confirm the amount. Then it processes the transaction.
Ours you swipe the card, the terminal does nothing, once the clerk has selected credit the terminal displays please wait, then shows CREDIT, DEBIT, or APPLE PAY, the customer has to swipe the card again after selecting payment method.
