    Retail Edge, Genius, & EMV

With our Genius terminal we just choose charge card from the payment screen, and Retail Edge puts it on the proper type (MC, Visa American Express, Discover or Debit). Now that Cyan has turned on the EMV cards we have had nothing but trouble. The card totals will be correct, however many times it doesn't know which card type it is processing, so the report we get from Cyan, and our closing report show different card totals. Is something Retail Edge has to fix, or is it a Cyan problem? They have had a lot of problems with their EMV rollout, and do not send any e-mails about them, we have to call and get in the waiting line for their support team.

I think the issue you are referring to is related to their switching of a PIN debit to credit, when a customer selects to run credit instead of debit. We are receiving the Debit in this case. This is something that they have been made aware of and I believe are looking into.

If you have more questions, concerns or issues with the integration, please contact our technical support team directly via phone or e-mail. They will document it and steer you to the proper person to address the issue.
