    On-Line Back Up of Multi-Location RE 8.0

    Are there any issues using an on-line back-up service? Do we need to back up each location or just the master database?

    The master database should be a complete copy of all stores data as long as the synchronization process is working properly.

    Not knowing how the service works, it is hard to say if there are going to be any issues. You might want to consider making a RetailEdge backup and storing this file in some folder that gets backed up. If a backup service is backing up actual RetailEdge data files, there can be potential issues if someone or RECON is accessing the files at the same time.

    I guess I should stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Is there a recommended backup and recovery procedure for a multi-site RECON installation.
