If you want to override a discount that is automatically applied to an item Sales Screen you can do this by simply changing the price or changing the discount amount on the item.  However, once you have manually overridden the rule, rules will no longer be able to be applied to this line item.  You will need to re-enter the item on the Sales Screen and delete the manually overridden one if you need to have the rule applied.

 

Regular discounts (F6 discounts) can also be applied at the time of sale on items that have been discounted with a discount rule.  Care should be taken when applying discounts on items that have already been discounted as the discounts will be added to the existing sales screen discount (e.g., take another 20% off).
