To setup RetailEdge to process using a PINPad for debit cards:

 

1.        In RetailEdge choose Settings |Workstations from the Tools menu item.  

 

2.        Select the workstation you want to have work with PC Charge and press the Modify button.

 

3.        On the Edit Workstation screen press the Credit Card (1 of 2) tab.

 

4.        Press the Debit Card Settings button.

 

5.        Check the Process Debit Cards check box and select:

 

•Serial/COM: The serial port your PINPad is connected to. If you are using one of the Out of Scope solutions, just set it to COM1.

•Device Name: Choose PINPad.

 

6.        Press the Ok button to save.

 

7.        If you are finished editing the workstations settings, press the Save button to save your credit card settings and exit out of the workstation settings

 

RetailEdge will now display a Debit Payment Option when taking payments on the Sales Screen.
