RetailEdge can track an item's minimum and maximum inventory levels and autogenerate purchase orders based on these minimum and maximum levels.  There are four different minimum and maximum levels so that you can set seasonal minimums and maximums.  These levels will default to 0.  They can always be changed at a later date.  Bear in mind that you can autogenerate  purchase order based on sales for a given date range.  This type of auto-generation might be more appropriate for your type of business.   So you may only need to set one set of minimums and maximums for your inventory items and you might not need to set these levels at all.
