Creating New Locations or Stores

You can set an unlimited number of locations in RetailEdge. To create a new location:

1.	Choose Settings\|Locations from the Tools menu item.

2.	Press the Add button.

3.	Type in a Location ID, Description, and Password for the location.

4.	Fill in other desired information for the location.

5.	Press the Save button.

This operation may take a while. You should perform this operation when there are no other RetailEdge users. New locations can be virtual and should be created when you want to further categorize your inventory (i.e., warehouse and in-store, etc.). You should be aware that creating new locations can complicate and slow down the report generating and inventory entry process. So creating new locations should only be performed when you are trying to track multiple inventory locations.
