Finding an item in the Inventory Manager

To quickly find an item in your inventory:
| 1. | Highlight the field/column you want to search in and then press the Find button (or Ctrl-F). |
| 2. | Type in the text (or first part of the text) you want to search for in the Look For box |
| 3. | Press the Ok button. |
| 6. | On the list of found records either double click the record you want or select the record using the Directional keys (áâ) to select the record and press the Enter key on the keyboard or press the Ok button. |
Notice that when you select a row in the Inventory Manager, RetailEdge will highlight the entire row and the column where the cursor was clicked will have a reverse highlighting (typically white). By default the Find screen, will be displayed with the Find By box set to this column. RetailEdge searches will find the first item with your desired text (from the beginning of the word) and then re-sort the list by selected column. The search can also be set to perform an Interior Pattern Match and find partial matches that are not the first part of the text you are searching for.
Note: This search mechanism works for all Lists and Managers.
