Management Tools > Restoring RetailEdge Data

If you have had a system crash or you simply want to restore the most current RetailEdge data from your business into a training store data-set:

1.	Choose Backup\|Restore from the Tools menu item.

2.	Type in or Browse for a RetailEdge backup file (*.bkp).

3.	Press the Ok button.

4.	Press Ok at each of the warning screens displayed if you are sure you want to restore the data in the current data-set.

This will restore the backup file into the current database and bring the current data to the state of the data at the time the backup was created.

Be VERY careful when restoring data. Restoring data will overwrite the current data set with potentially bad or old data. Also when restoring data will restore passwords from the other data-set. If you don' t have the passwords for the restored data, you may not be able to access any RetailEdge functions.
