Purchase Orders > Sorting the Purchase Order Items

You can change the sort order of the items on a purchase order to either sort:

1.Alphabetically by stock number

2.Order of entry on the purchase order.

Sorting by Order of Entry can be useful if your vendors have pre-printed order forms that you use to create purchase orders and if these vendors ship product the way that items are entered on the these pre-printed order forms.

The sort chosen order will change the way:

1.Items are sorted in the Purchase Order Editor Items Tab.

2.Items are displayed on printed purchase orders.

3.Items are viewed in the Receive PO screen when receiving orders.

4.In which labels are printed from a purchase order.

To change the sort order:

1.Choose Locations from the Tools|Settings menu item.

2.Select the location you want to edit from the list and press the Modify button.

3.Press on the Misc tab.

4.Select the PO / TO / Receive Sort Order you prefer.
