RetailEdge keeps a predefined list of devices that we can communicate with.  However, sometimes you might want to change one of the definitions or create your own definition for a device not in the list by default.  To do this:

 

1.Choose Settings|Devices from the Tools menu item.

 

2.Press the Add button to create a new device definition or Modify button to change an existing definition.

 

3.Fill in the appropriate information for the device.  This information is typically found in a manufacturer's programming guide.  You should contact the manufacturer of the device for any settings specific to the device.
