Setting Up Peripheral Devices

To setup peripheral devices (cash drawers, barcode printers, receipt printers, displays) to work with RetailEdge:

1.	Attach the device to your computer.

2.	Install the appropriate driver for the device (if required). RetailEdge talks to most devices through the manufacturer's driver. So you will need to download the drivers from the manufacturer's website before you can set it up with RetailEdge.

3.	Set up the workstation information for each workstation you are connecting the devices to.

Note: RetailEdge can work with a number of point of sale devices. However if you don't see your device in the device list, we can't guarantee that it will work. Please contact us before you purchase devices so that we can make sure that it will work with RetailEdge. A good test is to test it with the RetailEdge demo. If it works with the demo it will work with the real program.
