ODBC Connectivity and Passwords

RetailEdge data can be accessed via Open Database Connectivity (ODBC). ODBC is an open standard application programming interface (API) for accessing a database. This allows an SQL programmer to read only access to almost all RetailEdge data. This could be used to:

1.	Create custom reports

2.	Allow inventory quantity access to web site.

3.	Upload sales information to an external accounting system.

An ODBC Driver is available for the RetailEdge DBISAM database from Elevate Software at www.elevatesoft.com.

The database is password protected. You will need to provide the following read-only userID and password:

UserID: retailedge

Password: report
