RetailEdge Centralized Application Platform (RECAP)

RetailEdge Centralized Application Platform (RECAP) is an area where we have placed applications (apps) that require connectivity to other applications, servers or services.   To view these applications, launch the RECAP Control Center by pressing the RECAP button on the RetailEdge status bar on the bottom of the main RetailEdge form.

RECAP Control Center

The RECAP Control Center houses all available application tiles.  These tiles will display the application's:

1. Name.

2. Status.  This will let you know if the application is Off, On or Active (In process) and whether there have been any errors during the communication process.

3. Last Post Time.  The day and time the application was last run and successfully posted data.

The RECAP Control Center screen can be re-sized to best fit you device's screen and is independent of RetailEdge main form.  It can be moved external monitors to allow you to best display your active applications and their current statuses.  The order of the tiles can be changed by dragging and dropping the tiles.

You can also select whether you want to Open RECAP Control Center on RetailEdge start up or not by checking the check box on the bottom of the Control Center form.

The RECAP Control Center can be run on multiple RetailEdge workstations to allow you to push different e-mails to different addresses, display

information for different locations separately and to push different products to different e-commerce sites.

Note: RECAP applications only run only when RetailEdge is running.   So you should leave RetailEdge open if you want the RECAP applications to continue to run automatically in the background.
