Island Options

These settings are required if you want to setup a RetailEdge Island workstation.  The RetailEdge Island is available to RetailEdge customers on Silver or Gold service plans and needs to be configured with assistance from the RetailEdge technical support team.

Turn On RetailEdge Island Utility Checkbox. This check box will turn on the Island Utility.

Timer (Mins, 0 = Manual Mode).  Typically set from 1 to 10 minutes. Manual Mode allows you to only synch data when you want by clicking on the Island button on the bottom of the main screen.

Island Server Path. The Island Server Path is the IP Address of the computer with the master database on it.  This can either be the internal IP on the LAN (i.e., 192.X.X.X, 10.X.X.X) or the IP created by the VPN software/hardware.  If you are using RetailEdge's cloud server, this will be the URL of our cloud server and will be provided to you by our technicians when they assist you with the installation.

Server Access Code.  This is the access code that is set in the Recon Control program on the main computer that allows the Island to communicate with the Server on the main computer.  These two values have to match in order for the Island to communicate.  The default is RetailEdgeIsland if you are hosting your own master database.  If you are using our cloud server, this will be provided to you by our technicians when they assist you with the installation.

RECON 5 Business ID. This value will be provided to you by RetailEdge's technicians.

RECON 5 Divsion ID. This value will be provided to you by RetailEdge's technicians.

Override Location's Sales Tax Jurisdictions Checkbox. This will allow you to set up the island with its own tax jurisdictions.  This can be useful when working remotely from another city or state, and you are responsible for collecting sales tax for those jurisdictions. When you check this box you can set the Island's tax jurisdiction by pressing the Edit Island Override Sales Tax Jurisdictions button and applying the proper jurisdiction(s).
