RetailEdge is designed to work with scales or scanner/scales. The scales that RetailEdge currently works with are:

 

1.the Avery Berkel (Salter Brecknell) 67xx series,

 

2.the Star MG series jewelry (gram) scales, and

 

3.scales that support OPOS (Currently tested with Metrologic MS23XX scanner/scales and the Datalogic Magellan series scanner/scales). The connection to these scales is through a serial port. The scanner portion of the connection through the scanner/scales is a USB (keyboard wedge HID connection). Scanner/Scales must be dual cable interfaces.

 

When using a scale with RetailEdge, you must use a scale that has been National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) certified Legal for Trade by the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM). A list of approved scales that work with RetailEdge can be found in the Scale Type Dropdown list when editing your Workstation Settings.
