RetailEdge 2024.10.0 Release Notes #

This is a major release that adds a new Label Designer, Minimum Credit Card Transaction Amounts, Copy to PICs option, and over twenty additional customer suggestions. It also has a number of fixes and feature improvements.
New Features #
1. Added new label designer to allow users to create their own label styles. Label designers allow you to hide labels from the label list to make the list of available labels more manageable.
2. Added Copy to PICS option to sales screens.
3. Added ability to set a Minimum Transaction Amount for integrated credit card processing.
4. Added the ability to export current grid views by right clicking grids.
5. Added Reason filter on PICS Exception Report.
6. Added quantity filter to PICs Zero function.
7. Added start date option for Purchase History on Customer Rewards Program Discount Rule. (Today, Rule’s Start Date).
8. Add Mobile Phone to the Customer Manager columns and filters.
9. Updated Sales Screen Customer tab to show mobile phone.
10. Added Customer Mobile (phone) as a Filter for Reports/Exports
11. Combo search now includes Mobile number.
12. Discount Rule – Adjustment Percent Coupon now has a Sales Tax After Discount option.
13. Updated Shopify API Version.
14. Update PICS to Inventory will now turn off an item’s temporary status.
15. Card Connect is now being rebranded Fiserv Integrated Payments.
16. Remove Brandify from RECAP options. Brandify no longer provides the service.
17. Updated Shopify API Version.
18. Implemented a new RetailEdge update mechanism to allow for better updating of non-standard installations.
19. Change to Shopify to handle Amazon orders brought down by Shopify that are all being marked as taxable.
20. Renamed QuickBooks Mapping screen label for Accounts Receivable Acct to make it clearer what the account is used for.
21. Added new Security Action List Items to restrict Clerk access to Price/Cost Info when editing inventory items.
22. Modified Sales Tax Jurisdiction Exception List to better display when a tax is utilizing tax-on-difference option.
23. Vendor REDI export import now properly shows all available import fields.
24. Adde RetailEdge ItemID to Shopify error log to make troubleshooting easier.
25. When receiving a new item, the preferred vendor will automatically be set to the Vendor (Received) value and vice versa.
26. Added the ability to suppress the Price Below Cost Warning.
27. Added ability to import sales from Shopify with no customer information since they have changed their Basic plan to not allow downloading of PII (Personally Identifiable Information).
28. YES confirmation box on Sales Screen can now be cancelled.
29. Adding Sales Tax after discount (net sale) checkbox to Discount Rule – Rewards – Punch Card – Amount Off.
30. Disable ‘Exact amount’ button on open orders and layaways since exact change is not allowed.
31. Redi imports no longer import items marked as temporary to prevent unintentional deletion of items in receiving.
32. Added an email filter to batch and instant loyalty.
33. Added Advanced Receipt Option to allow item weight on receipts.
34. Updated Integrated Credit Card Images.
35. Merge Utilities now only checks for duplicates against undeleted items.
36. Added option in Advanced Receipt Options to add customer bill to information to tape style receipt.
37. Report selector – Added the ability to use the down arrow (in addition to/instead of hitting tab) to move down from the search bar.
Fixes and Improvements #
1. Discount Rule – Complete Sale – Weekly Sales Incentive – Editor now properly saves Max of today’s purchase value.
2. Sales Screen added a VAT Rounding Correction on closing reports to make subtotals match.
3. VAT taxes now work with tax jurisdiction exceptions.
4. Returning a Shopify Sale shipping now properly keeps original shipping price when setup as prompt for price.
5. Comparative Sales Report now better handles comparing week-to-week totals.
6. Touch Sales Screen Price Lookup Button now has the correct font size.
7. Product exports and order imports from Shopify and Octopus Bridge in RECAP now display proper status when completed.
8. Customer Display now properly displays when sale requires cash back.
9. House charge over-payment now properly prompts for change.
10. Paying house charges with a gift card now works properly.
11. Fixed UI on Customer Display workstation settings Display dropdown.
12. Overpay HC With Store Credit Return to Credit Void Extra SC Goes Back to Customer
13. Added new validation on REDI Import to prevent items from being imported without a vendor.
14. Fixed problem when creating indexes on existing tables in a transaction.
15. Instant loyalty discount criterion now works correctly.
16. Fixed incorrect rounding error message when Automatic Rounding is enabled.
17. Totaling Payments for Loyalty Application now properly removes change given from cash totals.
18. Traditional Sales Screen Customer Discount Functions now work properly when you change the discount type.
19. The Submitted Order button option with a REDI import now properly prevents modification of the Purchase Order.
20. Print PO now properly shows Mobile # (not Fax).
21. Discount Rules Percent off Fractional now works properly.
22. Resetting column orders (Ctrl-Alt-0) on Customer and Inventory Manager no longer causes an error.
23. Fixed random Traditional Sales Screen error when moving to payment tab.
24. Editing the price of a VAT item now properly displays item price at 2 decimal places.
25. Redi Invent import Count no longer says successful import when nothing is imported.
26. Buy X quantity on Discount – Rewards – Punch Card – Amount Off – rule now working.
27. A recalled Saved Sale now properly triggers Donation Round Up.
28. The Discount Rule List now properly shows description.
29. Payment Methods Report no longer treats change as an unallocated payment.
30. Pressing CTRL-ALT-O (Open Registers) on the Sales Manager now properly displays open workstations at selected locations.
31. Customer editor form options now properly control the visible pages on Customer Editor.
32. The two-line display now shows rounded totals when Location Automatic Rounding is on.
33. Recalling a Saved Sale now properly shows Ship This Sale checkbox.
34. The Sales Screen Tax Info Button is now enabled when the net quantity on Sales Screen is zero and there is sales tax is non-zero.
35. Pressing escape on the security override screen during a sale now properly closes the override screen.
36. Added messaging when merging temporary status items to make it clearer why the merge can’t be completed.
37. The Loyalty dollars purge now purges negative loyalty balances.
38. Change Quantity Action List item now works correctly.
39. Removed Export Filter values from Copied Inventory items. This prevents the added item from being automatically exported to e-commerce sites (i.e., Shopify, Octopus Bridge).
40. REDI Sales Export now properly filters the export when using stock number filters.

1. Octopus Bridge (Preview). You can now connect RetailEdge to multiple different e-commerce sites (e.g., Big Commerce, Woo Commerce, WIX, Local Express, etc.) and Marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.) through Octopus Bridge. Please contact technical support if you are interested in this feature.
