These are the steps you need to take to connect RetailEdge to Shopify and allow RetailEdge’s Shopify Integration to download sales and upload items to Shopify’s site.

Log Into Shopify’s Admin #

In Shopify’s Admin, go to Settings (Gear on lower left corner of the Navigation Menu).

Create the Application in Shopify and generate your Shopify credentials #

1. Select Apps on the left hand settings menu.
2. Press Develop apps Button (Upper Right hand side of screen).
3. Press the Build apps in Dev Dashboard button. This will bring you to the Apps Screen to Build your first app.
4. Press Create App button in upper right.
5. Name the App in App Name Box – (i.e., RetailEdge_Connector_OA), then press Create button.
6. Enter the App URL – http://localhost:2132/, leave Embed app in Shopify admin unchecked.
7. In the Access screen, add Into Scopes:
   • read_customers,write_inventory,read_inventory,read_orders,write_orders,read_products,
     write_products,read_product_listings,write_product_listings
   • Press the Release button – You will then be prompted for Version Name and Version Message (Optional).
   • Then press the Release Button.

Connect To The Shopify App in RetailEdge #

1. On the Settings options for the App, you will see the following credentials:
   • • Client ID
     • Secret
2. Copy and paste these into the Shopify Settings fields in the RetailEdge RECAP settings and press the Connect OAuth2 Account button.
3. Allow firewall modifications if asked.
4. Press the Sign In with Shopify Button when presented with the Sign in Form
5. Install App – Press the Install button.
6. Press the Connect OAuth2 Account button. If RetailEdge successfully connected to Shopify OAuth2 Server you will see a message displayed: RE Message RetailEdge: Connect to OAuth2 Account – Complete
7. Close this browser window.
8. API Admin Access Token will be filled in (masked) in the Shopify RECAP settings
9. Press the Save Button on the Shopify Settings.
