Windows 10 End of Life

Window 10 End of Life #

Like Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and 8, Microsoft finally ended support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.  Now, if you’re running Windows 10, you’ll no longer receive updates. This includes feature, security, and other quality updates.

This is important because running your business’s POS and Inventory Management on a dated operating system without security updates could increase the risk of viruses, hackers, and overall slowness. We strongly recommend thinking about migrating your systems to Windows 11.

Just as with Windows 7 and previous operating systems, we will continue to support these systems for a period of time after Microsoft’s end of life date. However, RetailEdge Support will eventually no longer be able to support Windows 10 operating systems in the future.

Extended Security Updates (ESU) #

You can extend security updates to Windows 10 if you can’t immediately upgrade to Windows 11.  This article tells you  what you need to know about the extended updates program.
