RetailEdge 2025.11.0 Release Notes

This is a major release that adds many new features, including price modification features, reports, performance, security, and stability improvements. It also fixes and makes improvements to existing features.

New Features

1. Added an option on the Price tab of the Inventory editor that will update/copy prices from an inventory item to unreceived POs and receiving.
2. Added checkbox to allow for not updating item pricing when receiving a purchase order.
3. Added Price Updater Wizard that will allow you to change inventory item pricing by a fixed percentage (Tools-Global Change).
4. Price Calculator and VAT Price on Editor with VAT now works with Tax Jurisdiction Exceptions.
5. Added a new Sales Export – Sales – By Location with OnHand Quantities.
6. UI Changes to Customer Editor to make sales screen notes popup consistent with inventory notes.
7. You can now Export to Grid the items on the Customer Manager Items tab (right click)
8. Added Default Quantity and new Weight Units to Inventory Import/Exports.
9. Added Dynamic Cost value to Inventory Import/Exports.
10. Added the ability to set the weight units for an item via imports.
11. Global TSYS integration now requires returns to be tied to the original transaction for refunds and returns (not blind). Returns need to be made to the card associated with the original transaction.
12. Added an option to have total product weight at the bottom of tape style receipts.
13. Added Email OAuth2 SMTP Authentication (more secure) for Microsoft Outlook/Exchange and Google Gmail.
14. Added Notify on PO pop up notes for vendors (e.g., notify of credit memos, order only online, etc.). When changing vendors on existing POs you can append, replace, or leave the notes as they are.
15. Added the ability to right-click Grids and export view to a CSV or TXT file.
16. Added Filter Groups into filter mechanism on Customer and Inventory Manager. This allows you to have more complex OR type filters to be created with groups. For instance, find all customers who have a State of VT or State of FL and Last Name “Smith.”
17. Added fractional quantities support to Shopify Integration through Measura App.
18. Reorder reports now have the option to include the Allocated Quantity in the On Hand calculation so that they show Available quantity.
19. Updated RECAP Control Center User Interface.
20. Added the ability to Copy Package contents to new Package.
21. Added the ability to remember column widths on Sales Screen Find Form.
22. Shopify linked SKU is no longer case sensitive.
23. Summary Close report will no longer run if no closings have been selected.
24. Improved Shopify Error Logging for Orders and properly process all orders when large number of orders are received.
25. Credit Card integration settings page now require support activation before entering credentials.
26. Added a warning about not being able to delete a location from the location list and removed the delete button from the location list.
27. RetailEdge now lists all the Items with quantities might not be available on the Sales Screen popup.
28. Purge, Customer and Inventory Imports now write to error logs to the Desktop.
29. Improved sales posting mechanism, to better ticket number generation when files being accessed from other workstations/locations.
30. Improved Edit Customer button functionality on Resizable Touch Screen.
31. Returns on Serial Number tab on Sales Manager are now displayed in red.
32. Matrix Parents on Purchase Orders and Receiving that are not used or received, now get properly deleted from inventory.
33. Editors under certain conditions no longer load hidden inventory records.
34. Added Date Created (Customer) Filter to Reports->Sales->Sales->Sellers->Customer->Visits.
35. Added the ability to have the Sales Screen loyalty balance/store credit popup suppressible.
36. Transfer Order security permissions hide costs.
37. Added Sale Type filter to Sales Journal report.
38. Sales screen warning for items below cost now shows a list of all applicable items.
39. Returns now keep original discounts and ignore active discount rules.
40. Returns now use original average cost not current value.
41. Added “interior match slow with too few characters” popup on the find window suppressible.
42. Added the ability to sort tab pages on Customer Editor
43. Added Transfer Order List ID in line numbers to better troubleshoot TO Post/Unpost Quan Adjusts.
44. Updated CardConnect (Fiserv) integration. Endpoint URL’s are changing (Dropping Ports).
45. Updated triPOS to support PIN Debit Reversals (increased security).
46. Added ability to keep customer information on a declined credit card transaction.
47. Modified the Amount Filter on Payment Method Report (you can now filter for sales Above, Equal, Below an amount).
48. Matrix REDI Import no longer requires an “ALS~~” in matrix definition.
49. Removed ‘Next’ button on the last step of the Quick Table Check Utility.
50. Removed OpenEdge and RE Payments from credit card integrations.
51. Add Total Weight to Language (receipt) files.
52. Improved RECON Currency Symbol Issues to better handle different decimal separators.
53. Improved performance of Quick Lookups on Purchase Orders and Receiving.
54. Added a discount rule field to Sales_Get and a new Discount_Get function to API.
55. Added the ability to get House Charge Balances for Customers in the API.
56. RECON now tests for bad time-server responses before resetting computer clock.
57. Grids now show an arrow glyph on sortable columns that are sorted.
58. Changed the label on the toolbar Update button to Update Inv to distinguish updating inventory from program updates.

Fixes and Improvements

1. Octopus Bridge integration Save Button Not displaying.
2. Summary Closing Report now properly displays clerk information for current clerks.
3. Fixed security permissions for Print Transfer Orders.
4. Added miscellaneous improvements to SMP to help support troubleshooting.
5. 3D Matrix item creation now properly assigns Quantities to 2^nd and 3^rd
6. Touch Screen Item Editor Discount and Quantity Issues now works properly when tabbing from one field to another.
7. Tax Info Button screen information now matches Sales Screen tax information when displaying low values.
8. Quantity + [SPACE] now works properly when using a matrix parent on QL Buttons (touchscreen button).
9. Sign Line receipt option now allows display of sign line on special sales (layaway, open order, house charge and returns).
10. PO REDI Import now properly associates matrix sizes with imported items.
11. Payment Screen option for required Check/Reference Number now properly refreshes when modifying payment methods.
12. RetailEdge now properly updates synch flags when selecting the option to update the parent item pricing when updating a child item in receiving.
13. International Numbers now properly follow the Windows regional settings for numeric decimal point, comma, and currency.
14. Certain discount rules now properly display the proper item quantity on receipts.
15. New Inventory Price Records now always get a deletion flag value on purchase orders, transfer orders and receiving.
16. Fixed some Report Selector UI issues.
17. Sales By Date – Comparative Weekly Report location filter now works properly.
18. Reg ID Filter in Memorized Reports now can be properly recalled.
19. Fixed Miscellaneous UI Element placement issues.
20. Workstation Settings Receipt Options Custom Receipt File Picker now properly displays an icon.
21. Receipt Language Parameters for VAT now working properly.
22. & characters in customer names are now properly displayed in the form captions.
23. Traditional Sales Search Partial Package Name and then switching to Stock Number now works properly.

25. Matrix Parent now properly saves Prevent Sales values and copies them to the children on a purchase order.

28. triPOS integration Void Return now posts exp date and member.
29. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+P now properly displays the sale’s profit on the full-size touch sales screen.

32. Customer display no longer crashes on startup after creating new workstation using the customer display.

34. VAT pricing labels now work with tax jurisdictions that have tax exceptions.
35. Package Discount now works properly with manually weighed items.
36. Added the ability to post a saved sale through the API.
37. Numerous changes to better integrate RECAP features with RetailEdge.
38. Fixed issue where displays were not working in 2025.04.0.
39. Recalling a saved sale and then copying the items to the Physical Inventory Collection System (PICS) no longer gives an access violation.
40. When Consolidate Items on sales screen is checked and prompt for quantity item is sold, the item quantity is properly added to the Sales Screen.
41. Payment Methods filters now work properly when selecting payment methods with mixed cases.
42. Repairing Tables Is no longer escapable.
43. Fixed issue affecting drag and drop reordering of Quicklist (touchscreen) items.
44. Fixed text color issue in Sales Manager.
45. Returning payments on an open order with no payments now works properly.
46. REDI exports with blank department margin will now use default location margin.
47. REDI receiving export now exports matrix section.
48. Sales Quote receipts with surcharge coupons now show the correct subtotal.
49. Fixed typo in QuickBooks export confirmation screen.
50. Workstation copy credit card settings now properly copies the Ask for Tips values to target workstation.
51. Fixed tab order for Mobile field in Customer Editor.
52. Fixed Access Violation in Sales Screen when exiting from House Charge Payment and the Store Credit warning.
53. Shopify/Octopus ItemID for Warning Log now displays N/A when “No matching RetailEdge item found.”
54. Customer New and Edit on Sales Screen now properly saves form sizes.
55. Average Daily Supply Report now properly uses average cost.
56. Fixed Currency Conversion Issues when switching from one regional setting to another.
57. If a Manually Weighed Item with an Addon item fails to sell, the Addon no longer is added to the sales screen.
58. Fixed numerous House Charge payment issues when customer has a store credit.
59. No longer have to double enter price in Tradition Sales Screen when certain discount rules are applied to the item.
60. Label Designer preview now properly refreshes after cancelling a find item operation.
