RetailEdge 2026.10.0 Release Notes #

This is a major release, introducing significant new functionality and addressing multiple outstanding issues. Below are the full release notes.

New Features #

1. Added integrated EBT/SNAP with Global Payments and Worldpay triPOS. This is a phased Beta rollout – Please contact RetailEdge Support if you are interested in participating in the EBT Beta program.
2. Added the ability to deploy multiple Island Workstations onto one computer (Island Hub).
3. Added RECAP Application for Octopus Bridge. This will allow users to link to Big Commerce, Woo Commerce, and Wix and other e-commerce platforms like eBay and Amazon.
4. Added RECAP Retail Planning export that exports Month To Date (MTD)information about sales, receiving, inventory values and on order (purchase order) values. Export times can be scheduled to export to the file daily.
5. Cloud API Modifications – Added Quantity Adjustment Capability, added PO_Get and PO_Lines_Get Endpoints, added an OpenOrder_Get Function, added the ability to delete customers, added new functions for Recv_Get, Recv_Log_Get, Recv_Post, and added the ability to delete vendors.
6. Added OAuth Authentication In RECAP Shopify Application.
7. Made multiple RECON Mult-location and Island Server stability load balancing improvements.
8. Added Clover Compact and Flex devices to Fiserv Integration to provide a lower cost more modern device that better handles Wi-Fi and Cellular installations.
9. Multiple VAT improvements to allow for tax rate exceptions within the sales screen and the Price Calculator.
10. Replaced manual backup prompts with automatic backups. Because many users skipped backups before critical operations (such as imports and updates), RetailEdge now automatically backs up the affected files before performing the operation. If multiple operations are run on the same day, only the first one triggers a backup.
11. Added Item Quick Lookups to Transfer Order to speed up item entry.
12. Added Sales Screen warnings on case break exceeds available quantities when adding to open order and layaways.
13. Added the ability to apply and change a promotion code on an entire sale from the Sales Manager.
14. Added Clerk Name to the Items tab in Customer Manager
15. When using entire gift card balance on a sale and overpaying with cash will now allow you to Return as Change is now the default.
16. Added Serial Number and Activity Find Options to the Customer Manager.
17. Added a validation to the update prices utility when no updates are made.
18. Removed ability to overpay a house charge account during a sale. You can still overpay (pre-pay) a house charge balance by taking payment from the Customer Manager.
19. Added Visibility to Payment Method Editor (Show on Sales Screen and Reports, Show on Reports Only, and Hide on Sales Screen and Reports). This allows you to create spacer items on the Touch Sales Screen Payment Tab and adds to the current spacer functionality that previously required that you add an underscore (_) to the beginning of the payment method to hide it. 20. Added more information into open register message when closing to help users know what other registers might be closing and allow for an easier purge of the file if it has been corrupted due to incorrectly shutting down registers.
21. RetailEdge will now save Memorized Reports to prevent inadvertently not saving changes.
22. You can now sell a serial number assigned to another location.
23. Added the ability to Disable Loyalty issued popup at time of sale to streamline sales process.
24. Changed UI on Custom Subtotals on traditional sales screens.
25. Case break items will not display availability warning if there is a case that will split after the sale of the child items.
26. Inventory Editor Price Calculator now remembers Use Retail Rounding Checkbox setting.
27. Increased CSV Inventory Import speed.
28. The PICS Update to a purchase order or transfer order now adds items to the PO/TO in the same order as they were in the PICs List.
29. Disabled next button on Import form if no fields are selected.
30. When using the Global Payments Integration and you have allowed blind refunds with Global, then the RetailEdge return function on the sales manager will allow the refund to be processed.
31. Added logging to Shopify Import to show failures.
32. Ctrl-S shortcut will now open default Sales Screen, traditional or touch.
33. Added new Clover Compact and Flex Devices with Fiserv integration. This allows for a more affordable terminal that can work with cellular and wireless networks.
34. Cloud API – Added endpoint for Quantity History to be able to track stock health over time.
35. Improvements to RECON Cloud to prevent duplicated records with asynchronous P2 requests.
36. Tape style receipts for account payments no longer show tax at zero.
37. Added Register IDs to the workstation list on the register close form.
38. Payment Method filters are now location specific.
39. Paying open orders with a house account will now display amount due and total for the open order to reduce confusion.
40. Added security permissions for Recap apps.
41. Improved speed of writing to INI (Settings) file on program exit to allow RetailEdge to exit more quickly.
42. Global Payments refund on a sale with multiple cards will now properly the display the card used for the refund.
43. Added an order setting to RECAP Shopify integration settings to Add Order Email to RetailEdge sale note.
44. Updated Shopify API Version.
45. Added Barcode Printing for Discount Rules Coupon Codes.
46. Added the ability to Return a Return Shows from the Sales Manager.
47. Changes to OPOS devices no longer needs a restart of RetailEdge.
48. The Open Order report now shows the item’s descriptions as they have been edited on the Open Order.
49. Multiple UI Changes to make program easier to use.
50. Added changes to the Authorized House Charge and House Charge Aging Reports to allow better exporting to Excel.
51. Splitter positions on Manager forms are now remembered when forms are maximized (full screen).
52. Added warnings to let users know the age of backup that is being restored. This will hopefully prevent inadvertently restoring old data.
53. RetailEdge now only requires a single restart to activate a new license.
54. Multiple changes to RECAP Applications.
55. Added a warning in the backup prompt if a user tries to back up to the C drive (protected folder).
56. Multiple Changes to Quicklist (touch buttons)
57. Added Sales Notes to the Open Order/Layaway Managers.
58. Improved the display performance of the Inventory Manager Sales sub-section when there are a large number of sales.
59. Inventory Manager can now sort by last action date.

Fixes #

1. Fixed issue when paying a house charge acct w zero balance gift card returning change.
2. Fixed screen flashing when running forms in maximized state.
3. Fixed UI on Workstation Settings Receipt Printer 1 page when no printer is selected.
4. Loyalty LD date fix no longer causes customers to have extra loyalty issued.
5. Fixed Gmail and Outlook Over SMTP Failure
6. Fixed issue with House Charge payment distribution when applying house charge credits (from returns) to the payments.
7. Customer Display in VAT Mode with Items with Tax Exceptions refresh now properly displays VAT inclusive pricing when moving to the payments tab.
8. Prompt for price items and department SKU items with $0 now uses the entered price as suggested retail on saved sales and layaways.
9. Index view sub tabs now update after local data changes (e.g., Sales Manager, Customer Manager, etc.)
10. Selecting the most recent house charge on the Customer Manager and voiding the sale from the Sales Manager no longer generated error.
11. Fixed multiple VAT rounding errors.
12. Fixed an issue where the main RetailEdge screen can be accessed when there is a modal window displayed (e.g., Customer Sales Note on Sales Screen hidden behind main form)
13. Sales Screen Sales Tax Info button now properly displays sales tax in VAT mode.
14. Touch Screen Sales Screen Item editor now supports fractional discounts.
15. Loyalty fixer application now runs on startup.
16. Removed Reorder Sales Report option to Include Case Children
17. Reorder report when in Case Order Mode will now properly show items when an item has a negative on order amount that makes the item eligible for the report.
18. Fixed a Sales Screen (Traditional) – Donation Round Up – Payment Screen Access Violation after recalling a sale and posting a sale that does not include the donation round up.
19. Can no longer copy an item to Submitted PO from Inventory Manager and Sales Screen.
20. Ctrl-S will no longer open a second copy of the Full Screen Sales Screen.
21. Fixed VAT calculation errors when working with items that are associated with tax exceptions.
22. Traditional Sales Screen Customer Tab Status Bar Info Button is not available if there is no customer on the Sales Screen.
23. Future Dated House Charge Sale can now be voided.
24. Loyalty Discount now properly excludes limited value when selecting a greater than or equal to filter.
25. Entering Manually Weighed Items with Quantity space SKU now works properly.
26. VAT Mode Price Calculator now Properly Calculate VAT exclusive price for the items.
27. RetailEdge now trims leading and trailing spaces on the sales screen for stock numbers with spaces put on the beginning and end (bad imports).
28. Retail Planning RECAP App now properly applies new class assignments when reassigning RetailEdge classes to planning classes.
29. Touch Screen no longer adds a blank record if you enter a dash (minus) with no quantity on the sales screen.
30. Status window for saving matrix children now properly closes after saving a matrix parent in certain instances.
31. Card Connect Integration settings showing available devices no longer duplicates available devices if you search for available devices more than once.
32. Octopus Bridge Integration Timers now work properly.
33. Octopus Bridge Integration now brings down more than fifty sales.
34. Fixed Octopus Bridge Integration error messaging.
35. Clicking multiple times into the SKU entry field on the touch sales screen no longer creates an error.
36. Label Designer no longer has an error if the pos values are not filled in.
37. INI setting SalesCloseAfterPost that closes the sales screen after posting, now works properly on all sales screens.
38. Printing two or more open order receipts no longer generates an access violation.
39. Fixed multiple errors during canceled security logins with an open order.
40. Fixed default price on Ask for Price Item when in VAT mode.
41. Inventory and Customer Managers Find now saves the Search Type.
42. Quantity Space Alias now properly adds the quantity to the touch sales screen.
43. Changing an item to a return (ctrl-N) now properly refresh 2-line customer display.
44. With security turned on, a tax-exempt customer no longer triggers the security action for changing sales tax on the sale.
45. Investigate if Connection Timeout Retries are Happening Properly for Shopify Synch
46. The matrix parent, three-dimension matrix report view now sorts properly on the first or last dimensions.
47. A matrix parent item no longer prompts for changes on exit when no changes have been made.
48. Canceling a change to the Shopify key field on an Item now allows you to cancel.
49. Changing Matrix Definition data while the inventory editor is open no longer causes an access violation.
50. Quantity Purge Utility now uses UTC when selecting items for purging.
51. Modified the Open Order Payment Receipt Amount Due to make it clearer to the customer.
52. Disabled allowing nonnumeric entry into the Discount PO discount amount field.
53. Printing Receipts and quickly exiting the sales screen no longer creates an access violation.
54. Fixed issue with freezing when RetailEdge performs its preregistration check with the licensing server.
55. Fixed Hotkeys so that they work on all relevant forms.
56. Voiding the sale of a gift card no longer creates a negative balance under certain conditions.
57. Local Table Resynch utility now works on RECON client machines.
58. Fix House Charge credit bad attribution.
59. Loyalty no longer double-triggers when multiple sales screens are open.
60. Fixed Receiving by Transfer Order Report.
61. Pressing enter on closing report no longer always tries to print.
62. Customer Rewards Loyalty Program now properly applies loyalty based on item sales subtotals.
63. Taxable Status on items now changes properly when unchecking tax exempt on the sales screen.
64. Fixed the Audit Log record for TO Post values.
65. RetailEdge no longer exports purchase orders with no lines.
66. Fixed issue that prevented importing of Inventory CSV files under certain circumstances.
67. Loyalty Dollar option is not properly displayed if a customer has more store credit than the sale total.
68. Fixed an issue when creating a purchase order where vendor information is not properly saved with the PO.
69. Find dialog, for matrix parents now shows children On Hand and Allocated quantities properly.
70. House account statement now shows tax correctly when paying down open order.
71. Open order receipts now show correct account due amount when making a house charge payment.
72. Overpaying an open order on the traditional sale screen now better controls change options.
73. Fixed Dashboard password issue with iOS major updates.
74. Fixed access violation on when using page settings with RetailEdge Label Designer.
75. Inventory Manager summary quantities now better display quantities with fractions out to four decimal places.
76. Shopify integration no longer pulls deleted clerks into downloaded sales for deleted clerks whose ID matches an active clerk.
77. Pressing F1 (Help) when highlighting a menu item no longer creates an error.

79. Layaway receipt screen no longer disappears when making a payment disappears.
80. Multiple changes to allow memorizing grid sizing and layouts.
81. Summary Clerk Sales Report filters are now working properly.
82. Selecting Ticket from Find in Sales Manager now properly sets focus to the proper record in the Sales Manager.
83. Sales Manager Find now auto selecting the field when pressing F4 or find is used.
